Similarity Check

All manuscripts submitted to the KJEB are analyzed for plagiarism and duplication by iThenticate’s Similarity Check. Because iThenticate has access to an unparalleled database through its partnership with Crossref, it is possible to precisely measure plagiarism and duplication in manuscripts. The editorial board judges the ethical suitability of the manuscript based on similarity calculated as a percentage. If the similarity of a submitted manuscript is higher than the standard, the editorial board checks the detailed analysis results provided by iThenticate to determine plagiarism and duplication. If ethical misconduct is confirmed, the editorial board will immediately withdraw the submitted manuscript, and depending on the seriousness of the issue, the Research Ethics Committee may be convened to debate follow-up measures.
